1 SHOT KILL BIO As far as band names go, 1 Shot Kill aptly describes the intensity and direct approach this collective has towards the music they have vigilantly constructed over time. Originally formed in 2002, the band has seen a couple of line up changes over the last 2 years which ultimately has lead to a strong final product in their debut e.p “Tactical Persuasion”. The nucleus of the band has always been focused in the rhythm department. Bass player Stego and Drummer Janga have been collaborating together on musical projects for the best part of a decade, and it shows in their brutal grooves and general tightness as a partnership. Add to this the amazingly unique and truly aggressive vocal talent of singer Gaz, whose screams, guttural roars and fast paced lyrical content continue to add character to an already undefinable heavy sound. This year saw the final piece of the puzzle filled with the youthful energy of guitarist “Toxic Tim”, his presence being an integral part of the song writing process. The band has been gradually building a steady and dedicated following around the Sydney area since the end of 2002. Their distinctive take on the heavy music arena has allowed them to play on a complimentary level with a diverse range of bands from Heavy Rock to Hardcore and Death Metal. Having the right attitude means a lot in the scene they occupy, and three years of hard work focusing solely on their sound has gained the band a loyal respect amongst their peers. They hope to continue this and add to their following nationally with an East Coast tour planned for early 2006 to support the release of “Tactical Persuasion”. Their music speaks volumes and the brutality with which they deliver their signature sound, makes the listener sit up and take notice. No Barriers, No time wasters, No egos .....
